In July 2024, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and two other departments jointly issued a policy including the renovation and upgrading of aging residential elevators within the scope of support from ultra-long-term special government bonds. This initiative aims to address safety hazards associated with aging elevators and improve people's livelihoods.
